The Longlist for the 2022 European Writing Prize
Thank you to everyone who submitted to the 2022 #EuropeanWriting Prize! This is the longlist, which consists of 31 selected pieces of writing which the judges deemed to be above the rest. We appreciate all the effort that went into the pieces submitted, and with over 6000 submissions, we were extraordinarily surprised at the enthusiasm you all have for literature and writing.
We would also like to thank the many donors and people who have preordered The European Literary Review: First Edition! You guys warm our hearts and allow us to continue doing what we’re doing. You have helped keep the website running, the marketing expenses paid, and the organisation in operation—Thank you!
The next competition, The 2023 Bloom Writing Contest, is ongoing, and if you didn’t make it into the longlist for this one, that’s okay! Your absence from the list isn’t indicative of failure—your competitors were fierce and wrote amazingly well. You should consider submitting a piece to The 2023 Bloom Writing Contest, even if you did make it onto the longlist. Follow our Twitter for updates on the shortlist, which will be coming soon. Also consider sharing the link to this page on your social media and the website if you’re interested in our organisation’s mission!
Happy writing!
